Biographical Sketch of Mrs. Julia Wynne, Wright County, Missouri >From "History of Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Webster, Wright, Texas, Pulaski, Phelps and Dent Counties, Missouri" The Goodspeed Publishing Company, 1889. ********************************************************************** Mrs. Julia Wynne, widow of Julian F. Wynne, was born in Gibson County, W. Tenn., in 1854, and is the daughter of William and Julia (Gilbert) Caple. William Caple was born in Middle Tennessee in 1817, was a farmer and stock trader by occupation, and was also engaged in merch- andising. He died in Tennessee in 1862. The mother, Julia Caple, was born in North Carolina. They were the parents of ten children. Mrs. Julia Wynne, the subject of this sketch, was married to Julian Wynne in Arkansas, and bore him seven children: Barbara, Harriet, Ida, Vernie (deceased), Mary (wife of J. P. Box, who died in May, 1887, leaving two children, Blanche and Claude), William, who died at the age of four years, and Thomas, who died when six weeks old. Mrs. Wynne came to her present farm in 1878. This farm consists of 160 acres of land, with 120 acres under cultivation. Julian Wynne was born in Dyer County, W. Tenn., in 1840, and always followed agricul- tural pursuits. He died in 1881. He was the son of William and Barbara Wynne, natives of East Tenn., who immigrated to Missouri, and both died in Wright County. Julian Wynne was in the Confederate army during the late war, and served with honor and credit for four years.
