Biographical Sketch of Pleasant Wynne, Wright County, Missouri >From "History of Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Webster, Wright, Texas, Pulaski, Phelps and Dent Counties, Missouri" The Goodspeed Publishing Company, 1889. ********************************************************************** Pleasant Wynne, who is closely associated with the farming and stock raising interests of Montgomery township, Wright County, Mo., is a native of Marion County, Tenn., born in 1829. He is the son of John and Margaret Wynne. John Wynne was born in Virginia in October, 1800, and was a pioneer of Tennessee. He was a great hunter, and spent many enjoyable hours with his gun. He died in 1865. By his marriage he became the father of nine children, three now living, and P. Wynne being the eldest alive, and the fifth child. He was reared in Tennessee, and was there married to Miss Anna Bullard, who bore him nine children: George Washington, William, Mary, Margaret, Pleasant, Jane, Alabama, Angenetta and Tennessee. The mother of these children died in 1883, when about fifty-three years of age. Pleasant Wynne was united in marriage to Mrs. Long, whose maiden name was Bohannon, and two children were the result of this union: Thomas J. and James Monroe. Mr. Wynne settled on his present farm in 1870. He bought 403 acres of land, and after doing well by his children he has about 300 acres yet.
