Weems Et al } Know all men by these presents that We Edward To - Deed } T. Weems and Eliza Young of the County of Jno W. Quarles } Holmes and State of Mississippi and Emily Hodge and Virginia Reynolds of the County of Attala and State of Mississippi have this day granted, bargained and sold and by these Presents do grant, bargain and sell in consideration of Two Hundred and Fifty dollars to us in hand paid by John W. Quarles of the County of Attala and State of Mississippi unto the said John W. Quarles and to his heirs and assigns forever the West « S.E. ¬ Section seven in Township Fourteen Range 9 East. The above land in Attala County and State of Mississippi the title to which lands we hereby warrant unto the said John W. Quarles and to his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of all persons whomsoever. In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 5th day of January of AD 1875 her Emily (x) Hodge (seal) mark her Virginia (x) Reynolds (seal) mark Eliza Young (seal) his E. T. Claitor an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County Emily Hodge and Virginia Reynolds who acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the foregoing Deed on the day and date first above written and for the purposes therein contained. Montgomery Holmes County } Mayor and Ex Officio Justice of the Peace for said County the within E. T. Weems and Eliza Young who acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the within Deed of Conveyance on the day and Year above written.
