Voss Jan. 30, 1912- Nov. 30 2000 Services for Delphine Hicks Voss, 88, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez with Father Alfred Camp officiating. Burial will be at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction on Laird Funeral Home. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary service at 8 p.m. and from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Mary Basilica. Mrs. Voss was born Jan. 30, 1912, in Natchez, the daughter of Edward F. and Delphine Goetz Hicks. She was a homemaker and among the second of four generations to attend Cathedral School. She was also a member of St. Mary Basilica and attended Mississippi State College for Women. Mrs. Voss was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Axel Voss; one brother, John E. Hicks; and one sister, Elizabeth H. Eidt. Survivors include two daughters, Delphine Voss Prestridge and Elizabeth "Libby" C. Voss, both of Natchez; five sons and their wives, Fred and Pat Voss and Carl and Glenda Voss, all of Natchez, Bob and Barbara Voss of New Orleans, Bill and Jean Voss of McComb and Philip and Nancy Voss of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Carl F. Hicks and Harold Hicks, both of Natchez; one brother-in-law, Max Voss of Natchez; 16 grandchildren, Van Voss of Natchez, Lori Voss of Baton Rouge, La., Mary Glenn Bradley and Ric Voss, both of Hattiesburg, Natalie Voss of Orlando, Fla., Page Voss of New Orleans, Parker Voss of Tempe, Ariz., Dane Mallette of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jenny Prestridge of Jackson, Amy Prestridge of San Antonio, Texas, Leigh Prestridge of Hattiesburg, Suzanne Voss of Hattiesburg, Lucy and Matthew Voss, both of Tallahassee, Fla., Katie and Erik Voss, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; six greatgrandchildren; 25 nieces and nephews; and two friends, Thelma Noble and Carrie Albert. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family requests memorials be made to St. Mary Parish/Cathedral School, P.O. Box Q, Natchez, Miss. 39121.
