Stanton officiating. Burial will be at church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Mr. Butler was born Sept. 5, 1912, in Adams County, the son of George and Theresa White Butler. He was employed with Cathedral Elementary School as a custodian when he retired in 1987. He was a member of Egypt Baptist Church where he was church clerk, the Universal Home Support Lodge No.1, juvenile secretary, inspector and money changer and Masonic Order of John G. Jones Lodge No. 3. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his wife, Emline Lyles Butler; oldest child, Mary Butler Riley; third child, Robert Butler, an infant; three brothers, George Butler Jr., Eugene Butler Sr. and Marcus Butler; and two sisters, Mary L. Washington and Annie Mae Burroughs. Survivors include three daughters, Adelene B. Allen and her husband, Donald Sr. and Sarah B. Young of Buffalo, New York and Emma B. Harris of Fullerton, Calif.; two sons, Odie Lee Butler Jr. and his wife, Pearl of Spanaway, Wash. and George Lee Butler of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Theresa Richardson of Natchez and Orelia Rounds of New Orleans; 24 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
