Joseph Gibson officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. Mr. Mosby was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Natchez, the son of James Mosby and Ethel Jackson. He was retired from the Natchez Water Works and was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church in Selma. Mr. Mosby was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ethel Jackson and James Mosby; one son, Michael Mosby; five sisters, Carrie Williams, Claudia Mosby, Thelma Kelly, Marguerite Perkins and Mamie Chatman; three brothers, George "Sonny" Whiting, Freddie Mosby and Ernest Spencer; two great- grandchildren, LaVelle Mosby and Jasmine Johnson. Survivors include eight children, Phillip (Ernestine) Mosby Jr. of Jackson, Lillie Mae Mosby of Natchez, James (Linda) Mosby of Boulder, Colo., Willie Mae (George) Johnson of Gallatin, Tenn., Margarette Mosby of Chicago, Ill., Excel (Annie) Mosby of Dallas, Texas, Deloris (Leonard) Martin of Harbor City, Calif. and Glen Allen (Alice) Mosby of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Ross, Bertha Miller, Nancy Mosby and Florine Coleman, all of Natchez; two brothers, Frank (Beatrice) Mosby of Stockton, Calif. and James (Theresa) Mosby of Natchez; close and dear friends, Joe and Mary Wiley of Greenville; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
