The girls got into camp activities and enjoyed a quiet afternoon. During the later part of the day the girls enjoyed several well-planned games, handicraft and swimming. The happy day was brought to a close by an evening campfire program. After this the girls departed to their various cabins. In cabin one, Miss Ann Robbins will serve as counselor for Leota Nichols, Jackie Standford, Sylvia Brooks, Beverly Jones and Sandra Rubel. Miss Glenda Glenn, another high school student, will serve as counselor for cabin two. Ann Anderson, Martha Morris, Patricia Mills, Joyce Bryant, Peggy Stevenson, Nancy Graves and Mary Alice Feemster were assigned to this cabin. In charge of cabin three is Miss Jean Orr. She will serve as adviser for Howard Ann McCoy, Shirley Ray, Vicky Jones, Sue Spear, Nancy Lowry and Joan Nichols. Hayes Warriner, Nina Stevenson, Emily England, Sally Ann Askew, Nina Cooper and Mollie McAmis, have as their adviser Miss Peggy Williams. Miss Edith Swayze has charge of several campers who are Mary Williams, Diane Daugherty, Rosemary Vaughan, Janis North, Julie Keaton, Lisa Nash, and Adynell Wood. Their cabin is number six. Linda Brady, Jane Hinton, Dixie Hancock, Sylvia Miller and Gail Nichols are in cabin seven with Miss Marie Brakenridge as their counselor. Miss Peggy Joan Brown is in charge of cabin eight. Molly Byrd, Sandra Farris, Susie Bennett, Betty Reynolds, Helen Jones and Nancy Jane McClure have been assigned to this lodge. Tuesday night the girls enjoyed a series of games which included a fast game of bingo. A full two weeks of camping excitement is looked forward to by the girls and their advisors. Charles Lenz is in charge of the camp and Miss Florence Cooper is program director. Miss Cooper has worked out a splendid program for the entertainment of the group.
