BURRESS Charles Burress, 39, a mechanic, was struck by a car while walking across Third Street near Market in Memphis. Mr. Burress was married to the former Rosalie Terry of Corinth. There are two sons, Charles A., Jr., 11, and Weldon, 8. Mr. Burress, also a native of Corinth, had lived in Memphis about five years. He had been in ill health for several months and it was believed this might have contributed to his death. Besides his wife and sons he leaves his mother, Mrs. Ozella Sutherland of Corinth, two brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Olen, of Pekin, ILL, and Elmer of Corinth. The sisters are Mrs. Alice Grisham of Crawfordsville, AR, Mrs. Ruby Jackson of Glen, MS, and Mrs. Lois of Corinth. Burial will be in the family burial plot at Rienzi.
