SMITH OF TISHOMINGO TO BE BURIED TODAY AT FORKED OAK CEMETERY Funeral service for William Tankersley Smith, 61, of Tishomingo, MS, who died Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock in Kennedy Hospital, Memphis, will be held from Forked Oak church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The service will be conducted by Rev. W.V. Stokes of Iuka. Burial will take place in the Forked Oak cemetery with McPeters Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith was a native of Prentiss county and was a veteran of World War I. He was engaged in farming and was a member of the Baptist church. He was also a member of the American Legion in which he took an active part. He had been ill for more than a year. In 1930 he was married to Miss Mary Felker of Booneville, and she survives. Besides his wife he is survived by a step-son, Burl Tennyson of Tishomingo; four brothers, Riley and Dan Smith of Paden, MS; Oscar Smith of Booneville, and Willis Allen Smith of Dennis, MS; two sisters, Mrs. Leckie Sheppard and Mrs. Blanche Luster of Paden, MS.
