Information transcribed from photos by Mary Pallon-August 2002. Rechecked by Mary Pallon-October 2003. Directions-About 7 miles south-southwest of Liberty on Hwy 569. Just about .6 mile southwest of Bethel Baptist. Unity Presbyterian has moved twice in its history. Many of Unity’s former members are buried at Bethel Baptist and Street cemeteries. **Note the cemetery book divided these graves into two cemeteries though they are on the same plot of land and not too far from each other.** Dunn, John Died Feb 14, 1892 Aged 66 Years *From my database he was born in Canada, single, and in the 1880 census his age was 54 years. He gave 80 acres of land to Unity Presbyterian upon his death. Hefner, Robert H Feb 22, 1885 - Oct 1, 1933 *Present day local residents know little of him except he was perhaps a drifter that came into Amite. Morgan, Richard Glen Feb 14, 1937-Feb 5, 1996 *Note that cemetery book lists his father, Claude E 1908/1967, as being buried here but no marker found. Also cemetery book lists a brother Robert M as being buried here 1939/1952 but again no marker found. This also confirmed by distant family. Full name for father was Claude Eudeave Morgan, Jr. and mother was Lorene Bass. For brother, his full name was Robert Morris Morgan. Unknown, Morgan *This is a funeral home marker, now no longer able to read, but two additional brothers of Richard Glen Morgan are possibly buried here per my research. Paul Morgan, b. July 30, 1934, d. June 28, 1983, of drowning. John Morgan, twin of Paul Morgan, is reported buried here and died same day he was born.
