Sank and Leanna Pace, September 25, 1917 West Bend, Alabama. She confessed a hope in christ at the age of eight years old and was united with the Cedar Point Missionary Baptist Church. In 1930 the family moved to Shaw, Mississippi and United with the St. Paul M. B. Church. In 1932 the family moved to Mound Bayou, Mississippi and united with the Wanders Home M. B. Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. She was married to Mr. John Robert Gardner, June 6, 1939 and to this union seven children were born, Doretha, John Robert, Jr., Alla Fair, Hilton, James Cornell, Gerald Faye, and Jacquline Faye. Mrs. Gardner served in her church as a choir member and treasure, sunday school teacher and Leader of the Y.W.A. society of her church which she loved. She leaves a husband, seven children, one sister, Mrs. Alla Fair Turner, Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Two brothers, Andrew Brown and Mack Roy Pack of Chicago, Illinois and a host of relatives and friends.
