Affidavit
State of Miss, County of Bolivar
In the matter of Inv. Orig. #1285177 London Jones 17 Ills. Vols Inf for pension
On this 4 day of Oct.,A.D. 1902 personally appeared before me, a Justice of 
the pease ExOffices NP, in and for the aforesaid County duly authorized to 
administer oaths, London Jones age about 57 years, a resident of Avondale 
Oleola Plt., in the County of Bolivar and state of Miss. whose Post Offic 
address is Avondale.  


Additional Comments:
London stated he was born a slave in the state of Tennessee at Murfreesboro 
and that his owners were William H. Murfree and wife at that place.  He also 
stated his parents (unnamed) said he was born on Jan. 16, 1844.
