C. White, a long time citizen of this city, was found dead in bed early Tuesday morning. He had been in ill health for some months and his death was not unexpected. The drug store of T. C. and W. C. White was for nearly a half century an institution of West Point, noted for conservative methods and square deal- the health of the two brothers failing it passed into the hands of Peyton White, but death claiming him, it became Paslay-Lindsay. Dr. White was a soldier of the Confederacy, brave and loyal to his country. After the war he made his home here and was always regarded as one of West Point's best citizens. His Wife, a son, Dr. Charles T. White and a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Huxtable, of Douglas, Ariz. are left to mourn his loss. The funeral took place from the residence conducted by Rev. E. J. Caswell of the Baptist Church of which he was a member. Additional Comments: William was the son of Dr. Peyton Henry and Sarah H. Lee White. William was married to Martha Ann Trotter. William and his family are buried in the White Cemetery plot at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point, MS.
