With their youngest child barely saved from burning and clad only in their night clothes James Wallace and family were driven from their home on West Pine street between Eighth and Ninth avenues by a fire which entirely consumed the building and contents about midnight Tuesday. The fire department responded quickly to the alarm but the run was a long one and the fire had gotten such headway that nothing could be done to save any psty of the building or any of its contents nor coule it be learned when or how the fire originated. Mr. Wallace had $250 insurance on the dwelling but nothing on household furniture or personal effects.
