M. Griffing Deceased, 1906 Knowing the uncertainty of life, and the certainty of death, I, J. M. Griffing of Hamburg, Franklin County, Mississippi being expressly desirous of the future welfare of my wife, Elizabeth Griffing, and my daughter, Minnie I. Griffing after my decease do hereby give and bequest to my wife Elizabeth Griffing my entire tract of land with all appurtenances Containing one hundred and ten (110) acres of land, for her use and benefit during her natural life. After her decease, I will that Minnie I. Griffing shall have the home and land subject to her disposal. I will to my other heirs, L.A. Griffing, W.D. Griffing, E. J. Griffing, Fannie M. Parmeter, J. E. Griffing and F. C. Griffing one ($100) dollars each, as they have each and every one of them received an equal distribution of my landed estate, while I lived. Let it be understood however, the J. E. Griffing shall receive any amount that his mother may see fit to give him from the yearly income of her place, after all expenses are paid, until she has paid him an amount satisfactory to herself. If my wife wishes to sell her place at any time, she is at liberty to do so with the consent of her daughter Minnie Griffing. I appoint J. E. Calcote a Justice of the Peace, in and for said County and State W. B. McCaa makes oath that J. M. Griffing, the testator in the hereunto attached Will and Testament did voluntarily sign the said Will and testament in the presence of affiant and C. B. Hemby whose names appear as Attestees and that they the said W. B. McCaa and C. B. Hemby did also sign their names to it in the presence of the said J. M.
