You will go 4.8 miles and run into the highway 63 by-pass. Turn left onto the by-pass and go 6.0 miles, here you will turn right onto the Grain Elevator road. Now go approximately 4 miles and you will see Salem Campground Road on your left, turn here to the left and you will be going south. A short distance down this road you will see a large mailbox on your left (#2161), directly across the road from this mailbox is a small private driveway, about 50 yards up this drive on your right will be the Byrd Cemetery. The sign on the gate says it is the Reubin Byrd Cemetery, is also sometimes called the Jim Byrd cemetery. There is a chain link fence and it is in good shape for the age of it. It is a private cemetery but as you see by the gates hasn't been used in many a year. Maintenance is done by family members of those buried here. The cemetery was walked on the 11th of December 2007 by Jimmy Trussell and information was taken for Headstone and concrete slab inscriptions.
