Leaving the city of Lucedale you will travel west until you come to the Greene County, Mississippi road sign. Here you will continue west approximately 9 miles, where you will see Midway Missionary Baptist Church on your right. There is a dirt road just past the church, take the right hand turn and go to the dead end (1 1/2 miles). The cemetery will be located to your right at the dead end. The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence on all sides and was well kept. This is a family cemetery and upkeep is provided by Marc Merritt and Andy Hillman. Marc Merritt is the Great-Grandson of J.D. & Elizabeth (Breland) Daughdrill, who are among those buried here. The cemetery is on private land and permission should be obtained from Marc Merritt for access. Mrs. Etta Moss was visiting relatives on this side of the river when she died and due to flooding on the river, they could not take her home for burial and she then was buried in this cemetery. Jimmy Trussell walked this cemetery on Nov. 19th , 2007 and all information was taken from headstone inscriptions.
