Mrs. Sprinkle, the daughter of a sea-captain and the wife of the keeper of the Breton Island Reservation in the Gulf of Mexico, early learned the art of curing and mounting birds, animals and fish, but she prefers to work with sea- specimens and for years has devoted her time to them exclusively. Her ability is known far and wide and her handiwork not only adorns the walls of lodges and dens of many prominent sportsman over the United States and is on display in the Edna ? Water Beach Hotel in Chicagoand the Illinois Central Station (can't read the next line) and in Gulfport, Miss. Mrs Sprinkle is 62 years old. Additional Comments: Note: She was a native of Horn Island, Mississippi. She was married to her cousin, William Morgan "Billy" Sprinkle, 1855-1931; her mother was Emma Waters, born 1842 and father was George Halfred, a sea-captain. Emma Waters and her daughter were both born on Horn Island. Hannah Halfred was born 1866 on Horn Island and died 1946 in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Hannah was named for her grandmother, Hannah Waters 1819-1903.
