Biloxi Daily Herald on 21 August 1969
"Miss Maude Colbet,79, died during Hurricane Camille Monday(sic).  Her body was 
recovered Wednesday from near her residence, 121 East Beach, Biloxi.  A lifelong 
Biloxian, Miss Colbet was a member of the Nativity BVM Catholic Church.  She is 
survived by four nieces and nephews.  A double funeral was held at 3:30 p.m. 
Thursday from Bradford-O'Keefe for Miss Colbet and Miss Maurice Stella Tucei, 
who were together when they died in the hurricane.  Burial was in Biloxi 
Cemetery."






Additional Comments:
Maude Cobet was born April 8, 1890 in Biloxi, MS.  She was the daughter of 
Francois Colbet and Ada Angelic Barthes (1872-1952).  She was a victim of 
Hurricane Camille along with her cousin, Maurice Stella Tucei, when their home on 
East Beach Boulevard in Biloxi was destroyed.
