Meridian Star, Lauderdale County, MS

April 26 1939
Caleb Elisa Creel, age 63, died at his home Meridian Route 6, Monday night.
Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Burse Perry Creel, one daughter Mrs. Mairam 
Brewster, two sons, Jim and Jack Creel, one sister, Lucinda Graham, Gulfport; 
two brothers Jack Creel, Gulfport; Will Creel, Meridian; several nieces and 
nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am from the Bethany 
Baptist Church at Whynot, Miss. The Rev. H. G. Montogue and A. H. Miller will 
officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
