Mrs. Catherine Creel, 82 years and 7 months old and widow of C. W. Creel, died 
at her home in Handsboro last night at 8 O'clock. She was born June 20, 1853, 
and had been a life long resident of Handsboro. Surviving her are four sons, R. 
Creel, New Orleans; and Ole, Archie and Nicholas Creel, Handsboro; and four 
daughters, Mrs. H. Kebler, Hattiesburg, and Mrs. T. B. Bailey, Mrs. O. J. Ware 
and Mrs. Elisabeth Ware, Handsboro. Funeral services were held at the Handsboro 
Methodist Church this afternoon at 3 O'clock, Rev. Roy Wolfand, Rev. Percy 
Vaughn Methodist pastors officiating. Burial was in the Handsboro Cemetery.

[note] this is Catherine Nicholas, daughter of Morgan Nicholas, widow of her 
first cousin Wesley Creel the son of Charles Collin Creel and Lucinda Nicholas 
Creel, sister of Morgan.
