Her many friends are more than pained at her death. A true christian, a devoted Catholic, and a good charitable woman, who was always ready to help the poor with a free heart and hand. She constantly sought out the poor and afflicted, and those that required help, so that in her way she might relieve suffering. Her funeral took place from the Catholic church on Sunday and was largely attended. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the brother in this lonely hour." Additional Comments: Annie Gill was the daughter of James Gill (1819-1891) and Ann Mathewes(sic) Gill (1820- 1890). She is buried along with her parents in the Biloxi Cemetery.
