"Mrs. A. S. Gorenflo Dies This Morning"

"Mrs. Lela Rushing Gorenflo, wife of Albert Sidney Gorenflo (1885-1977), vice
president First National Bank of Biloxi, died at 1 a.m. today at the Biloxi Hospital
where she had been for a week. Mrs. Gorenflo was a native of Meridian, Lauderdale
County, Mississippi, and a resident of Biloxi since 1914. She attended high school
and business college and was married in Harrison County, Mississippi to Mr. Gorenflo
on July 11, 1919. Mrs. Gorenflo was a member of the Church of the Nativity, Nativity
Altar Society, Fortnightly Club and had been active in the Red Cross for many years.
She worked as a Gray Lady at the Biloxi Hospital and the Veterans Administration
Hospital. Funeral services were under the auspices of the O'Keefe Funeral Parlor
with services at Nativity BVM Catholic Church and internment in Southern Memorial
Park."
