J. Gorenflo" "Wilfred J. Gorenflo, 57, lifelong Biloxian, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Howard Memorial Hospital, where he had been for ten days. Mr. Gorenflo, 1023 Irish Hil Drive, a Biloxi merchant for years, opened and operated a fish and tackle shop, and was an authority on sports, fishing and boating affairs. In former years he had been employed at Ingalls and also at Oak Ridge, Tenn. Mr. Gorenflo is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John Morat, Las Vegas, Nev., one grandchild, a brother, W. O., Biloxi, and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Curtis, Biloxi. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home with services by Rev. Charles. Hanks. Mr. Gorenflo was a member of the Catholic Church. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park. A Rosary will be said at 7 o'clock this evening. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 10 o'clock tonight." Additional Comments: Wilfred was the organizer and leader of the first Biloxi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo which was held in June 1946.
