While the death of this young girl was not unexpected the absence of her loving smile and gentle presence are the less sadly missed in the home circle, which is now experiencing a sorrow which time alone can heal. Every mortal must pass Gethsemane's dark garden of sorrow; all must sleep the dreamless sleep; but upon the shadowy shores of death the sea of trouble casts no wave; eyes that have been curtained by the everlasting dark will never again know the touch of tears; lips that have been hushed by the eternal silence will never suffer another word of grief; hearts of dust do not break, the dead do not weep. At the time of her death Miss Josephine was 19 years, 7 months and 6 days of age, and was the eldest daughter. The remains were interred in the cemetery here on Monday afternoon and were followed to their final resting place by a large number of friends. The Herald extends to the bereaved family its sincerest sympathy." Additional Comments: Josephine was the daughter of Lazaro Lopez (1850-1903) and Julia Dulion (1857-1918).
