Dr Bragg was summoned and gave a certificate that death was due to natural causes. Pliney Seymour was 53 years old, and had been a lifelong resident of the Back Bay district. He retired Monday night in comparatively good health. For a long time he had been a sufferer from disease, but rarely complained and his family had no idea that the end was so near. Mr. Seymour is survived by eleven children, his wife having died six years ago. He was well and favorably known through out Harrison county. For several years he was engaged in the butchering business, but of late, through ill health, had been living in retirement. He was a devout member of the Back Bay Catholic church, and the funeral, which will be announced later, will be conducted by the priest in charge of that church. Interment will be made in Quave's cemetery". Additional Comments: Pliney was the son of Lazarus Seymour (1816-1902) and his first wife Nancy Ann Seaman Seymour (1826-1853). He married Melinda Elizabeth Quave Seymour (1855-1896) on 20 Feb 1872.
