Hinds County Gazette circa 1867

The old Oak Tree Hotel in this place, will be sold in front of the State 
House, in Jackson, on the 15th of March ensuing, by Mr. John Handy, 
administrator of the late L.F. Henderson.  This is the largest hotel property 
in Raymond—but two squares from the Railroad depot, and embraces, we believe, 
three lots of land.  
A chance for a bargain.
