Raymond Camp met at the courthouse Saturday, Nov. 14, Commander Ratliff in the chair. The committee on constitution and by-laws presented their report, and on motion it was- Resolved, that this association be called the “B.S. White Camp of Confederate Veterans,” and the constitution as reported and amended be adopted. Membership fee fixed at 50 cents. The annual meeting of this camp was fixed for the 1st Saturday of November of each year. The regular meetings were fixed for the 1st Saturday in each month. Wm. Jefferson, colored, was elected and enrolled as an honorary member of this camp. The following resolution was adopted by a rising vote: That the wives, widows and mothers of all confederate veterans be entitled to honorary membership in this association. Resolved, that memorial services in honor of our deceased comrade, B.S. White, be held on the 24th inst., at the court house, and a committee, consisting of J.K. McNeely, J.R. Eggleston and D.M. Ballard were appointed to correspond with Judge Calhoon, Hon., R.N. Miller, Hon. R.N. Hall, Rev. B.D. Gray, Rev. J.L. Pettigrew and Capt. W.A. Montgomery, and request that they be present on that occasion. The camp then adjourned to meet again at the courthouse on the 24th.
