His remains were followed to the grave Tuesday afternoon by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives. Mr. Casper came to Raymond many years before the war and engaged in business, being most prosperous in his ventures until about 1868, when like thousands of other, he succumbed to the financial pressure, which bowed down the whole country, from which he never recovered. A few years later he was stricken with paralysis, the effect of it being to make him a permanent invalid. Mr. Casper was an honest man, and as such will be remembered always by this community. He leaves a wife and two sons, as well as several grandchildren. May they bear up under this great and crushing blow. Additional Comments: There is not a exact date given on the clipping but I believe Able Casper died in Dec. 1886 and the obituary published in January 1887.
