North, only son of Mr. C.S. North, of this place, died at Shrevesport, La., of typhoid fever, after an illness of several weeks. He was a graduate of the A. & M. College and started out in life with a bright future before him. Being very proficient as a draughtsman, he found remunerative employment for his skill immediately after leaving college. With a bright mind, and with many excellent qualities which won him a host of friends, his life was full of promise. He was the pride and hope of his fond parents who realized in him all the fond expectations; but alas for the inscrutable ways of Providence; upon the very day that the young man reached his majority he was taken. The remains reached Raymond Wednesday evening and were interred in the Odd fellow’s cemetery Thursday morning, the funeral service being performed at the Episcopal Church. The remains were followed to their last resting place by the bereaved relatives and many sorrowing friends, and his mound was covered with a wealth of flowers.
