Hinds County Gazette

  Mrs. Elizabeth Russell died at the
residence of N. B. Smith, Esq., near
Moore’s Spring, on the night of the
31st ult.  Mrs. Russell was in the 89th
year of her age—was a native of South
Carolina, but came to Hinds county
twenty-six years ago, where she has
since resided.  For seventy-five years
she was a consistant member of the
Methodist Church, and as long as
health and strength permitted she
delighted in attending public worship.
Her trust was well fixed, and she
died in peace.
