Killingsworth, who was jealous of Tillottson’s attentions to his wife. The report is that Killingsworth had for some time past suspected his wife of infidelity, and recently took his children from her, sending them to his mother. On returning, he found his wife and Tillottson emerging from a deserted negro cabin in the vicinity, whereupon five shots were fired into the latter’s body, death ensuring almost instantly. The verdict of the Coroner’s jury was justifiable homicide. The body of the deceased was brought to Learned Tuesday evening for interment.
