Funeral Services Held Sunday For Prominent Holmes Co. Woman. Mrs. Mae Moore Alexander, 72 passed away Saturday afternoon, June 6. at her home in West after a long illness. Mrs. Alexander was born May 22, 1870 and a member of a prominent Holmes county family. Her parents were the late Mayor James Robert Moore and the late Martha Jane Gordon Moore. She was married February 20,1895, to Charles Burros Alexander, who preceded her in death two years ago. She was a woman of high christian character, loved her church devotedly and always interested in the welfare of the community. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 7, 4 o'clock, at the West Presbyterian church where she was a life-long member with the Rev. E.W. Ford of Goodman officiating and assisted by Rev. McNutt of Vaiden. Interment followed in the West cemetery with the Lee Funeral Home of Winona in charge.
