Simmons In the name of God, Amen. I, Samuel B. Simmons, being sound in mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament, as follows, to wit: Article 1st - It is my will and desire that, after my death, my body be decently interred, and that all of my just debts be paid out of my estate that I shall have left. 2nd - It is my desire that my three negroes Jeff, Susan and John, the child of Susan, be appraised by three freeholders, and that my daughter Ann E. Blake shall receive them at their valuation as so much money of her share of my estate. 3rd - It is my desire that my daughter Catherine E. Simmons shall receive my boy Frank, and that he shall be valued by three freeholders, and that she receive him at the said appraisement as so much money of her share in my estate. 4th - It is my desire that after my death, my negro woman Patsy be set free, and that I.M Simmons shall see that this provision of my will be carried out, and that he act as her agent and guardian to see that she is well taken care of. 5th - It is my will and desire that my property, both real and personal, be equally divided between my children without reference to any former advancement that I have heretofore made. 6th - I do hereby nominate Isaiah M. Simmons as my sole executor of this my last will and testament to execute the same according to the provisions above specified, and that he shall not be required to give security as such executor.
