This photo is of the tombstone of the late A.W. Patterson (Arthur Woodward)He 
served as a Captain in the 4th Alabama Cavalry Regt. under the command of Col. 
Moreland (Also known as Moreland's Regt)He was born in McMinn TN.  He later 
moved to Franklin Co AL and married Susan Elen George.  He enlisted in the CSA 
in Franklin Co Al and he was captured during the Battle of Iuka MS and held as 
a POW for six months.  After the war he walked home.  He later moved to 
Shannon MS and served as the Treasurer of Lee Co MS
