Rev. William "Bill" Barton, Sr., age 83. passed away July 3, 2008 in Ocean
Springs, MS. Rev. Barton was born August 25, 1924 in Abbeville, AL. He pastored
four churches for over 30 years; Bay View Heights, Mobile, AL., First Baptist
Church, Satsuma, AL., Jackson Avenue Baptist church, Pascagoula, MS., and Wade
Baptist Church, Wade, MS. He served as interim pastor for 32 churches while
serving as Director of the Home of Grace. He and his wife founded the Home of
Grace in 1965. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Ann (Lester) Barton
-16 years old. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; four sons; eleven
grandchildren. Burial: Vancleave #1 Cemetery, Vancleave, MS.
