Mrs. Dora Lee Dowdy, 81, died on March 1, 2007. Mrs. Dowdy was born on Nov. 27, 1925, in Carriere, MS. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Charles R. & Mrs. Winnie Ethel Pierce Eklund, three sisters, Svea Ethel "Katie" Duck, Juanita Eklund, Patricia Eklund and two brothers, Charles Raymond Eklund and Ronald Eugene Eklund. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery, Moss Point, MS. Donald V. Noland, 55, died March 2, 2007. The family of Mr. Noland will be having a private service. Mrs. Maude Leola Jones Thigpen, d. Interment will be held in Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. Mrs. Sara Kirkpatrick Lemon Anderson, Andrew Burkes, 17, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Mildred Costict,76, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Robert Charles (Charlie) Culpepper, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Sitka Community Hospital, Sitka, Alaska. He was 74. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton J. Culpepper in 1950 and his mother, Mattie (Jones) Oubre in 2003. At his request, no funeral services will be held, but a celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. He had requested cremation, with his ashes scattered in Katlian Bay, his favorite fishing place. He was born June 3, 1932, in Why Not, Miss., the second of four children. His family moved to Pascagoula, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast when he was eight, and he grew up in the small community of Bayou Casotte, as did his wife, Quinnia (Wise) Culpepper. The two were wed in Bayou Casotte in 1955 and were married for 51 years. Mr. Frederick Erwin Jansky, Sr. age 62, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Erwin Jansky, and two sisters, Barbara Farrell and Helen Walker. Joe Lee Wood, 78, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Mr. Wood was born in Hazlehurst, Miss., on Nov. 25, 1928. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Mark Wood, his parents Charles and Celia Wood Sr. and a brother Charles Ben Wood Jr. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery, Escatawpa. March 4 Bill Rogers, age 88, passed away in Round Rock, Texas on March 4, 2007. His wife of 57 years, Miona (Mi) passed away in 2000. Bill was proud that both his grandfathers were Confederate veterans and his Grandmother Rogers was the last surviving Civil War widow in Georgia. After cremation, a family gathering will be held near Mason, Texas, and the ashes scattered in the Llano River that borders his grandson's family ranch. James Marion Rinks, age 56, passed away, March 4, 2007 in Riverside County, Calif. Born in Pascagoula, Miss. on Jan. 13, 1951 to the late J.B. and Kathleen Rinks. Mr. George R. Hansford, age 83, died Thursday March 8, 2007. Born December 24, 1923 in Union, MS, to the late George and Essie Cleveland Hansford. Mr. Hansford was also preceded in death by his first wife of 19 years Zeta Kate Hardy Hansford in 1961 and by her daughter-in-law Karen Casto Hansford in 2005. Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park. Phillip A. Parker, 47, died March 8, 2007 Mr. James Andrew Vaughan, 94, died on March 8, 2007. He was born in Wade, Miss. on Nov. 4, 1912 the oldest child of Wesley and Winnie Vaughan. Andrew was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Melva King Vaughan (2003), his parents Wesley and Winnie Vaughan, brother Clyde Vaughan, sister, Audrey (Walter) Jones, great grandson, Kye Stringfellow and nephew Gilbert Vaughan. Interment will follow at Orange Grove Cemetery in Moss Point. March 9 Mr. John David Craven Sr., 70, died Friday, March 9, 2007. A graveside service will be held Monday at Myrick Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Beatrice Craven; a brother, Charles Craven; and a sister, Edna Fay Carven. Mrs. Corliss Adams Ritchie, age 100, of Pascagoula, MS., passed away Friday, March 9, 2007. She was born August 4, 1906, in Conehatta, Miss. Mrs. Ritchie was a native of Newton County, Miss., and had been a resident of Pascagoula since 1944. Mrs. Ritchie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin D. and Florence W. Adams; beloved sons, Johnnie Wayne Ritchie and Thomas Marion Ritchie; sisters, Odelle Adams, Vera Goodwin and Lurlene Everett. March 10 Oneil Anthony "Tony" Bergeron, Jr. passed away on March 10, 2007. He was born in Moss Point, Miss. on March 14, 1939. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Oneil and Roberta Bergeron of Moss Point; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Josie Schaub of Moss Point; paternal grandparents, Norman and Susanne Bergeron of Houma, La.; and a brother, Donald H. He was the owner of M & R Trailer Park in Moss Point for many years. Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James Arnold Womack and Mrs. Ella Mize Womack, several brothers and a sister.
