Mary Kathleen Dunaway McKenzie, 93, of Pascagoula, passed away May 1, 2012, born
November 2, 1918 in Tylertown, MS to Clemons and Ettie Dunaway. In addition to
her parents she was preceded in death by 11 siblings, her husband A. J.
McKenzie; daughter, Doris Bennett; sons-in-law Billy Eanes and Wayne Bennett; 4
grandchildren, Sheila McLellan, Norman Bennett, Glenn Bennett, Johnny East;
great-great grandchild, Amber Maddox and Floyd Mae Bennett.

James L. Smith was born to James Ree Funchess and Elouise Smith Holloway in
Prentiss, MS. He attended Carver High School in Pascagoula, MS. James "Cowboy"
Smith departed this life on Thursday, May 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by
his parents, James (Lucille) Funchess and Elouise Smith; sister, Loree "Rene"
Barnes; brothers, Robert "Pete" Poole, Eddie Butler, Willie Coleman, James 
Charles Smith; nephew, Robert Earl Fountain.

William Higginbotham "Biddie", 97, of Gautier, MS, died May 3, 2012.

Charles Torrence, a resident of Moss Point, MS born May 5, 1931. passed away
Thursday, May 4, 2012.He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII.

William Cain “Willie” Firth, 85, of Pascagoula, MS, passed away May 5, 2012 at
Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS. He had been a resident of the U.S.
Veterans Home in Collins since August 2011. Willie was born on March 12, 1927 in
Pascagoula, the son of William Daniel and Effie Jane Cain Firth. He was a member
of the Pascagoula High School graduating class of 1945. He enlisted in the
United States Navy at the age of seventeen and served on the USS Enterprise
during World War II. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother
Stova Firth, and sisters Elma Firth Russell and Dorris Firth Watts.

Barbara Gene Tate Harness was born in Pike County, MS to the late Prentiss and
Lizzie Tate. She entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2012. She was preceded in
death by her parents; two sisters, Mamie Magee and Jessie Johnson; three
brothers, James, Wallace and Charlie Tate. She was a member of Shady Grove
Missionary Baptist Church in Osyka, MS. Services will be May 12, 2012 at New
Bethel Apostolic Assembly, 4207 Griffin Street, Moss Point, MS.

Shanell Leigh Jowers Foster, 34, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Sunday, May 6,
2012 in Pascagoula, MS. Shanell was born in Biloxi, MS. She was the only child
of Robert E. and Donna Jowers of Gautier, MS.

Chad Steven Scott, 31, of Vancleave, MS passed away May 7, 2012. Mr. Scott is
preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gerald Holden and cousin, Brylee
Mallette. A memorial service at Community of Christ Church, 12205 Mt. Pleasant
Rd., Vancleave with the Rev. Larry McMillian officiating.

Mrs. Juanita Andrews, 82, of Pascagoula, MS passed away May 11, 2012.

Pamella Lynn Hudgins Wagner of Moss Point passed away May 11, 2012. She was born
in Lucedale, MS. She was a 1973 graduate of Moss Point High School. She was
preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Otis and Mary M. Goff and Van and
Edith Hudgins.

Lucille Franks Holloman, 88, of Pascagoula died May 12, 2012, at her daughter's
residence in Tennessee. She was born in Pascagoula on March 1, 1924 to John
Edgar and Flora Perry Hester. She had lived in the Macedonia Community in Lee
County for over forty-five years. She was preceded in death by her father, John
Edgar Hester; her mother, Flora Perry Hester Conway; son, William D. Franks,
Jr.; first husband, William D. Franks, Sr.; second husband, William Russell
Holloman; brothers, John E. and Carl Hester; sisters, Sue Harris and Betty
Broadus. Services will at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev.
Caster Buse officiating.

Dorothy Ann Krebs Talley, 88, of Pascagoula, passed away May 12, 2012. She was
preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Joyce Talley; her parents, Charles H.
Krebs and Edna M. Krebs; her brothers, Council Krebs and Francis "Bub" Krebs;
her sisters, Alda Chamberlin, Ivon "Billie" Bennett, Mary Torricelli, Nell
Delmas, Eunice Walker and Joyce Goff. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of
Pascagoula, MS and a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.

Lenora Hood Nash, 90, of Pascagoula, MS passed away May 13, 2012. She was born
in Yazoo County on November 9, 1921. She and her her 8 siblings attended school,
school in Hesterville, MS. She married her true love, William Desmond Nash,
together they raised 5 children in Kosciusko and Pascagoula areas. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mattie Belle Hood; brothers, Jack,
Ted, Grady, Henry, and James; sisters Mary, Annie, and Mattie; grandson, Matthew
Wayne Nash and a great grandchild, Marissa Ellington.

Doris Theresa Jones, 76, of Pascagoula, MS passed away May 16, 2012 in
Pascagoula. Doris was born on April 13, 1936 in Pascagoula. She was a lifelong
resident of Pascagoula. She was preceded in death by her parents: David and
Stella Cook, and her stepbrother George “Buddy” Carroll.

Mary Juanita Martin Bilbo, 96, passed away May 19, 2012 in Ocean Springs. She
was born August 22, 1915 at Martin’s Bluff in Gautier. Juanita was raised on a
farm with her parents and 12 siblings, in a time when horse and buggy were still
a common mode of travel and work. She was a dedicated church worker at Belle
Fountain Baptist Church, which was founded in 1890 by her father-in-law, Walter
Ray Bilbo and his two brothers, for many decades. When Juanita married Bryan
Bilbo on May 24, 1934, he was a muskrat trapper and had his own farm already
established with a thousand laying hens. She helped him raise pecans, grow
gardens, and raise chickens, cows, horses and sheep to shear for wool. Juanita
is preceded in death by her parents, James and Olive Martin; husband, William
Bryan Bilbo; children, Betty Lou Bilbo Cox and William Larry Bilbo; and
grandson, Stanford F. Browning.

Georgia Joy McCulley, 82, of Moss Point passed away May 19, 2012. Ms. Joy was
married to Meredith McCulley, who preceded her in death. They were married for
53 years. Ms. Joy was a faithful member of Helena Presbyterian Church. She was
also preceded in death by her parents, William and Georgia Merritt.

Mrs. Helen Lorena Stewart, 98 , passed away May 19, 2012. Mrs. Stewart, born
January 12, 1914 had been a resident of Moss Point (Kreole), MS most of her
life. Mrs. Stewart was the oldest person, both in age and church membership, at
New Horizon Ministries (formerly Evangel Temple). Mrs. Stewart was preceded in
death by her husband, William Riley Stewart, daughters, Laura Emma Stewart and 
Brenda Kay Parker, son David Lamar Stewart.

Mercedes DeAngelo Barron Carioty, a native of Moss Point and resident of
Pascagoula passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012. She was 85.She is preceded in
death by her son, Roy Barron, Jr. A private memorial service will be held at a
later date.

Alvia E. Hester Sr., born in Pascagoula Mississippi to the union of Mr. and Mrs.
Steve (Etta Lundy) Hester of Wade. Passed away May 20th 2012 in Mobile, Al.
Reuniting after almost 33 years with his son Alvia E. “Bubba” Hester Jr. He was
a retired Captain for American Commercial Barge Lines. His hobby of choice was
raising cattle and being a farmer. He was preceded in death by his son, Alvia E.
“Bubba” Hester Jr., Parents, Steve and Etta Hester, brothers Alton, George,
Dozier, Roger and Herman Hester. Sisters, Bernice Rider, and Maude Freeman.
