Mrs. Melba Cauley Hamilton, 60, of Theodore, Ala., passed away on Nov. 2, 2007. Mrs. Hamilton was born Sept. 12, 1947, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl D. and Emily Hatfield Cauley. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa. Mr. Hezekiah Jones of Moss Point, Miss., was born Nov. 5, 1938. He passed on to eternal life on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Gulfport, Miss. Interment will be in Scranton Cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss. Alice Elizabeth Walker (Hall) Mitchell, was born to the late Walter F. Walker and Alice Johnson Walker on Oct. 22, 1932, in Peason, La. At an early age she moved to Grand Bay, Ala. with her parents. After the death of her parents, she moved to Jena, La., with relatives. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lula Mae McCoy; a brother, Cornelius Walker and husbands, Eddie L. Hall and Willie Mitchell. Alice entered into eternal rest Nov. 2, 2007, at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Park on Canal Road in Gulfport. Mr. Levie Robison, 66, of Moss Point, Miss., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007,in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Robison was born May 4, 1941, in Akron, Ala., and had been a resident of Moss Point for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Luella Robison; one sister, Ella Mae Robison Knox; three brothers, Charlie Robison, Walter Brown Sr. and George Robison Jr. Interment will be in Scranton Cemetery, Pascagoula. Nov 3 Ina Viola Goff, 95, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, in Ocean Springs, Miss. Mrs, Goff was born on Oct. 9, 1912. Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Viola Lyons; her husband, John Clifton Goff; four brothers, Robert, Joe, Dorsey and Winfred Goff; and one sister, Georgia Lee Carpenter. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs, Miss. Infant Baleigh Nichole Watkins, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007. Rebecca Maria Lide Hargreaves died at home in San Rafael, Calif., at the age of 50. She was born and raised in Pascagoula, Miss. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard L. Lide of Grand Bay, Ala. A memorial service will be held in Mill Valley, Calif. Nov 4 Mrs. Ruth O. Clark, 80, of Vancleave, Miss., died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at her residence. Jones and Son Funeral Home in Beaumont, MS is in charge of arrangements. Emile Anthony "Butch" Glory Jr., 53, of Vancleave, Miss., died Nov. 4, 2007, at Canon Hospice, Gulfport, Miss. Born in Richland, Wash., on Aug. 8, 1954, Emile was raised in New Orleans, La. Emile moved to Bay St. Louis, Miss., in 2000 and then to the Gautier-Vancleave area in 2001, where he lived and worked until his death. Graveside services will be held at Biloxi National cemetery in Biloxi, Miss., with military rites. Nov 5 n/a Nov 6 Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Dahlgren Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at his home in Escatawpa, Miss. He was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Moss Point, Miss. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robert Lee Dahlgren, and wife, Mrs. Cynthia Ann Pension Dahlgren. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home. Mrs. Louise Sclease, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007. Nov 7 Valiona Triplett, 79, of Moss Point, Miss., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007. Mrs. Valionia Maude Triplett was born in Meridian, Miss., to the late Will and Lelia Whitehead on April 10, 1929. She departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis E. Triplett; granddaughter, Pamela Mitchell; four brothers and four sisters. Burial will follow in Scranton Cemetery. Frank Shirley Waltman Jr., 72, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Waltman was a lifelong resident of Fountainebleau. He retired after 32 years with Ingall's Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing and working with his tractor and was known as "The Tractor Man." He will be loved and greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Annie Belle Waltman Sr., and two brothers, Dennis and Bradford Waltman. Burial to follow at Beulah Cemetery. Nov 8 Mrs. Dorothy McCorvey-Agee on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at 2:12 p.m. Dorothy was the seventh born of nine children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Fannie McCorvey; brother, Mr. Eugene McCorvey; sisters, Mrs. Mary K. Mobley and Mrs. Gernedia McCorvey. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Mrs. Earnestine Godwin Davison was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Port St. Joe, Fla., died Nov. 8, 2007 in Mobile, Ala., at the age of 77. Interment will be in Gabriel Cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss. Nov 9 Carolyn Dell Rogers Zeigler, 88, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Nov. 9, 2007, in Pascagoula. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Rogers; parents, Floyd and Carrie Daniel; brothers and sisters. Burial in Jackson County Memorial Park. Nov 10 Milton Owen Greene, "Mo" or "Poppa," 60 years old of Wade, Miss., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in Chandler, Ariz. He was born Jan. 20, 1947. Milton is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Louella Greene; and nephew, Johnny W. Greene. A memorial service will be at the Johnson Cemetery Tabernacle on Highway 63 in Wade. Nov 11 Norris Waddell Epps was born Nov. 9, 1963, in Moss Point, Miss., to Willie and Ednearl (Sally) Epps. He accepted Christ at an early age, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Moss Point. He departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sarah Ann Walden and Willie W. Epps Sr.; maternal grandparents, Wilson and Celestine Fagan, and a brother, Clarence Fagan. David R. Steiner, 58, of Escatawpa, Miss., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. Born March 31, 1949, in Pascagoula. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow H. and Dora L. Steiner, and his wife of 31 years, Katy L. Steiner, on Feb. 23, 2007. Mrs. Louise Brooks White died on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at the age of 76. She was born on April 17, 1931, in Owassa, Ala. She lived in Robertsdale, Ala., until 1969, when her family relocated to Harleston, Miss., in Jackson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitt E. and Buena Harrison Brooks, and one brother, James Marvin "Brother" Brooks. Interment will follow in the White Family Cemetery in Harleston. Nov 12 Mr. Bennie Earl Dueitt, 75, of Lucedale, Miss., died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, in Mobile, Ala. He was preceded in death by a son, David Darnell Dueitt of Harleston, Miss. Lance Gorden Jerome, 40, of Gautier, Miss., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born March 27, 1967, in Fairfield, Calif. Brother Mekell Ady Johnson of Houston, Texas, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at 5:13 a.m. at Cypress Fair Hospital in Houston, TX. He was the only child born to the marriage of Henry L. and R. Deleah Johnson on Sept. 12, 1967, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry L. Johnson Jr., and his sister, Sharon Johnson. Interment will be in Scranton Cemetery, Pascagoula. Nov 13 Thomas Henry Ladnier Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss., 78, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007. Mr. Ladnier was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Hazel Ladnier; his son, William Clay Ladnier; and his parents, Thomas H. Ladnier Sr., and Audrey Clements Ladnier. He was born Oct. 16, 1929, in Pascagoula. Graveside services will be held at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula. Nov 14 Margherita I. Patrick, 64, of Gautier, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at her home. She was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Montalto, Iffugo, Italy, and came to America in the early 1960s. She is preceded in death by her father, Andrea Iannuzzi. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier, MS. Mr. James Edwin Pryor, age 82, of Moss Point, Miss. died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Biloxi, Miss. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Elizabeth Pryor; two daughters, Dollie Elizabeth Stadola and Jamie Margarite Davis and one sister, Nettie Pryor. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Perla Lee Christian Shannon, 86, a native of George County, Miss., and a longtime resident of Grand Bay, Ala., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Q. Christian and James Shannon; sons, James E. Christian and Donald Christian; grandchild, Kelsey Burroughs; and her parents, John and Luveda Poole. Interment in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Infant Rolando DeLaFuente Connely-Villarreal Jr, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. Nov 15 Patricia Ann "Moe" Brown was born Sept. 9, 1960, in Laurel, Miss., died Nov. 15, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss., at the age of 47. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary L. Brown and Melvin S. Brown Sr.; a sister, Sharon Brown; and a niece, Regan Smith. The memorial service will be at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 5425 Grierson St., Moss Point, Miss. Dorothy McCullar Gill Garner, 68, passed away peacefully on Nov. 15, 2007, in Gautier Miss. She was born June 9, 1939, in Philadelphia, Miss. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Triplett, and both parents, Walter and Ella McCullar. Interment will be in the Macphelah Cemetery located in Pascagoula, Miss. Simon T. Holden, 85, of Vancleave, Miss., died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007. Nov 16, 2007. He was born Aug. 4,1922, in Vancleave to Joseph and Ila Holden. Mr. Holden was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Murry, Houston, Russell, Gerald and Arnold Holden; one sister, Winnie Vaughn; two sons, Ted and Darren Holden; and one daughter, Connie Holden. Funeral services will be from Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Elder Jo Ann Lutes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Nov 16 Mr. Michael Tyrone (T-Moe) Moore, 48, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. He was born Jan. 12, 1959, in Moss Point, Miss., and has been a lifelong resident of the Jackson County area. He is preceded in death by both parents, L.C. Moore and Gladys W. Mary Elizabeth (Boothe) Wooley, 67, of Lucedale, Miss., passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala. Nov 17 Annie Mae Bradley from Bennedale, Miss., died Nov. 17, 2007. Eugene Francis Villarrubia, long-time resident of Pascagoula, Miss., and recent resident of Mobile, Ala., died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, in Providence Hospital. Mr. Villarrubia was the youngest son of Leon Villarrubia and Myrtle Mary Hassinger Villarrubia of New Orleans, La. Graveside services and interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery. Nov 18 Zoie Lucille Wallace Graham of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007. Zoie was born on April 28, 1931, in Marion, Ala. Zoie was preceded in death by her father, James Madison Wallace of Marion; her mother, Lucille Hughey McCrary and her stepfather, Francis Euell McCrary of Pascagoula. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, Ala. Mrs. Fannie Grace Wilson, age 63, of the Harleston Community, passed away Nov. 18, 2007, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala. Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 7, 1944, in Jackson County, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burke and Nettie Finch Tanner; a daughter, Linda Kay Wilson; and siblings, Alice Parker, Louis Tanner, L. D. Tanner, Irvin Tanner and Preston Tanner. Burial following in the Tanners Chapel Cemetery. Nov 19 Nellie Alanza Kern, 81, of Gautier, Miss., passed peacefully at Singing River Hospital on Nov. 19, 2007. She was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Shreveport, La. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Alanza and Sara Leone Alanza; her husband, Edgar James Kern; and a sister, Mary Sport. Interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery. Nov 22 none Nov 23 Nancy Susanne Gautier of Nashville, Tenn., died Nov. 23, 2007. Born March 12, 1957, in Mobile, Ala. Martha Jean Mallette, age 68, of Vancleave, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad M. Mallette; a son, Kyle M. Mallette; her parents, William A., Sr. and Althea L. Saucier; and a brother, William A. "Dub" Saucier. Interment will be in Vancleave Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Louis Perez, 80, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at his home in Pascagoula. He was born July 25, 1927, in Gulfport and had been an ordained Assembly of God minister for more than 40 years. Rev. Perez was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Louis and Mrs. Ethel Travis Perez; his son, Robert Perez; and a brother, Vincent Perez. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point. Nov 24 Mabel S. Colle, formerly of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, Nov. 24. in Oxford, Miss. Evelyn Janine Devereaux died Nov. 24, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, Col. Ray Devereaux (USAF). Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Vancleave, Miss. Mr. Elbert Lucky passed away Nov. 24, 2007. Interment will follow at Scranton Cemetery in Pascagoula. Nov 25 none Mrs. Victoria S. "Vicki" Bowman, age 95, of Moss Point, Miss. died Nov. 25, 2007. She was born Nov. 19, 1912, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was the daughter of Alexander and Stefanie Kocon, her Polish parents who came to America to start a new life. Mrs. Bowman was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point. Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss. Mrs. Willie Mae Smith, 75, a homemaker and lifelong resident of Moss Point, Miss., passed away Nov. 25, 2007. She was born Sept. 28, 1932, in George County, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cody and Lula Stringfellow; sister, Inez Rodocker; sister-in-law, Mary Jordan; brother-in- law, J.V. Smith; and son-in-law, Paul Michael Bowman. Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula. John Taylor, 52, of Rochester, N.Y., died Nov. 25, 2007. Burial will follow in Merrill Cemetery. Nov 26 Lanola E. Hedman, 91, of Harleston, Miss., passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mrs. Hedman was born April 1, 1916, in Richton, Miss., to the late Archie and Augusta Ezell. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Edward W. Coker Sr., Ernest McL Galloway and Albert C. Hedman Jr. and a son, Edward Watkins Coker Jr. Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery. Florine Cambridge Thomas, 52, of the Wade community, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss. Florine was born April 7, 1955, in Arizona. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Cambridge; sister, Charlene Blue; brother, Kelvin Cambridge; and a half-sister, Susie Cambridge. Matthew Paul Walker, 19 months, of Moss Point, Miss. went to be with Jesus on Nov. 26, 2007. He was born May 10, 2006, in Pascagoula, Miss. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. from Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Ocean Springs, Miss., with Rev. Joe Spence officiating. Mr. G. J. "Dutch" Wigley, age 79, of Lucedale, Miss., died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at his residence. Born June 4, 1928, in Batesville, Miss., to the late William Edward and Lucile Reynolds Wigley, he was a former longtime resident of Pascagoula, Miss. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Eva Mae Hughes Wigley in 2000, and one son, James Bowlin in 1999. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs, Miss. Nov 27 Mr. Gerald "Gayle" Bowman, born Nov. 6, 1936, in Pascagoula, Miss., and resident of Mobile, Ala., for the past 50 years, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. His wife, Barbara Billingsley Bowman, preceded him in death. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Eleanor "Eley" Salisbury, 76, of Gautier, Miss., died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. Mrs. Salisbury was born in Weehawken, N.J., on July 3, 1931. She married Joseph "Pete" Salisbury on Oct. 9, 1954. Her husband of 49 years and her parents, John and Josephine Hamilton, preceded her in death. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier. Ms. Penny Winkle Wells, 86, of Gautier, Miss., died Nov. 27, 2007. Howard Dudley Wolverton, 80, of Moss Point, Miss., passed away Tuesday, Nov., 27, 2007, at home in Moss Point. He was born in Neshoba County on Jan. 22, 1927. Mr. Wolverton served with the U.S. Army Engineers during World War II. He retired as fire chief from the Pascagoula Fire Department. In addition, he also worked as a police officer and was the manager of Burnham Drugs in Moss Point. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clyde Wolverton. Burial to follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa. Pallbearers will be members of the Pascagoula Fire Department.
