She was born August 17, 1913 in Carroll County, Miss. and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1954. Mrs. Lott was an elementary teacher for public schools in Carroll County and Pascagoula for 19 years. She was a former bookkeeper for WPMP radio and former employee of Jackson County Library System. Mrs. Lott was a member of First Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Eastern Star # 151, life-time member of Federation of National Republican Women, Mississippi Republican Woman, Jackson County Republican Women and B.P.W. Club. She received the Teaching Alumnus Award in 2003 from the Homes Community College in Goodman, Miss. where she received her college education. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester P. Lott; parents, Ed and Mittie Watson; two brothers, Arnie and Jerome Watson; two sisters, Eurdise Smith and Norene Organ. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mississippi Sen. Trent(wife-Tricia)Lott of Jackson County, MS. brother and sister-in-law; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home with Dr. Rex Yancey and Rev. Dennis Ray Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula.
