Rape Dr. Jacob N. Rape, physician and prominent citizen of Moss Point, died at his home in Moss Point on Monday, February fourth, after an illness of one month. The funeral was held on Wednesday, from late home of deceased. Rev. W. O. Sudler and Rev. W. H. Lewis, officiating. assisted by Revs. J. F. Brock, B. A. Meeks of Moss Point and Rev. W. P. Baggett of Kreole. Interment was in the family plot in the Griffin cemetery, the following being the pall bearers: Active: Dr. J. F. Colley, A. L. Monroe, C. M. Fairley , K. W. Burnham, W. M. Alexander and B. D. Spann. The honorary pall bearers were the members of the Jackson County Medical Society. Dr. Rape was 75 years, 11 months, and 17 days old, was born in Forest, Miss. and came to Moss Point in 1900 where he has lived ever since. He is survived by his widow, four sons and one grandchild. He was a member the Methodist church and the Moss Point Masonic Lodge, a competent and popular physician, a good citizen and a most loveable man. His loss will be keenly felt by the entire community, as well as those who knew him intimately and all will join this paper in expressions of sympathy for the bereaved family.
