Pauline Dowdy Smith   

SMITH Pauline Dowdy Smith 87 of Wade, MS; passed away January 28, 2009 in 
Vancleave, MS; , she was a devoted member of Wade Baptist Church in Wade, MS; 
and she also worked as a seamstress at Cinderella Knitting Mill in Moss Point. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Smith, her parents Jesse and 
Zena Dowdy, her sister Dorothy Waltman, her brother James O. Dowdy. She is 
survived by her brother Jesse Dowdy of Escatawpa, MS; her nieces and nephews, 
Robert (Dee Dee) Dowdy, James (Skeeter) Dowdy all of Vancleave, MS; Barbara 
Daniels of Dayton, TN; Brenda Sue (Doug) Knippers of Pascagoula, MS; Vicki 
(Issac) Denton of Wade,MS; William C. ""Man"" (Evelyn) Waltman of Escatawpa, 
MS; Cheryl (Mike) Whitehead of Gautier, MS; Debbie (Don) Knowles of Ocean 
Springs, MS; Dee Dee (Debbie) Dosher of Escatawpa, MS; many great nieces, great 
nephews. Visitation will be Friday January 30,2009 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at 
Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. funeral service will begin at 3:00pm 
from the funeral home chapel burial will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens 
cemetery in Moss Point, MS. The family would like to thank their friends at 
Wade Baptist Church for their kindness and support to Pauline during her 
illness. Heritage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements locally owned and
