This evening about 2 o'clock Judge Childsey celebrated a double wedding at his residence. The contracting partners were Mr. John Ryan Jr. and Miss Fannie Sprinkle and Mr. Clyde Platt and Miss Avaline Sprinkle, both couples being from Dauphin Island, Alabama. The young Ladies last night told their parents that they were going to attend a revival being held on the Island, but stole to a secluded cave, where their lovers and sailboat were waiting them. Putting to sea they arrived at Scranton this noon. After the ceremony they set sail for Pettit Bois Island, where they will camp for the night, and sail for Dauphin Island tomorrow. sprinkle wedding-1898-04-23; David Sprinkle Alabama File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ms/jackson/bios/wedding11gbs.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/msfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
