LORMAN - Services for Ernest Murphy Jr., 78, of Natchez, who died Thursday, 
Nov. 23, 2000, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday 
at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating.

Burial will be at McCaa Cemetery in Russum under the direction of Rollins 
Funeral Home of Fayette.

Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Murphy was born June 13, 1922, in Jefferson County, the son of Ernest 
Murphy Sr. and Willie Tolliver Murphy. He was a retired citrus packer and a 
member of St. John Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla.

Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Laura Murphy of Sebring, Fla.; two 
stepdaughters; two brothers and their wives, Frank and Mary Murphy and Albert 
and Lucy Murphy, all of Gary, Ind.; three sisters and spouses, Hilda and 
Gloster Williams of Lorman, Evelyn and James Mazique and Freddie Johnson of 
Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Johnson, Ernest Williams, Robert Stringer, Frank 
Stringer, Frank Murphy Jr., MacArthur Murphy, Charles James and Paul Reed. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Murphy, Frank Murphy and Abraham Murphy.
