Larry Clark officiating. Burial will be at McCaa Cemetery in Russum under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette. Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Murphy was born June 13, 1922, in Jefferson County, the son of Ernest Murphy Sr. and Willie Tolliver Murphy. He was a retired citrus packer and a member of St. John Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Annie Laura Murphy of Sebring, Fla.; two stepdaughters; two brothers and their wives, Frank and Mary Murphy and Albert and Lucy Murphy, all of Gary, Ind.; three sisters and spouses, Hilda and Gloster Williams of Lorman, Evelyn and James Mazique and Freddie Johnson of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jessie Johnson, Ernest Williams, Robert Stringer, Frank Stringer, Frank Murphy Jr., MacArthur Murphy, Charles James and Paul Reed.
