T. Lynch of Delay, died at his home on Sept. 15, 1915. Mr. Lynch was born in Troupe county, Georgia, on June 15, 1834 when two years old his parents came to Choctaw county, Mississippi, and lived there until he was nine years old. Nov. 24, 1852 Mr. Lynch was married to Miss Sallie Ragland, a very refined and talented lady. To this union was born five children, two boys and three girls. The boys died several years ago, but the three daughters living are Mr. J. P. Webster of Weatherford, Texas; Mrs. M. Harris, of Paris, Miss., and Mrs. J. C. Eskridge of Delay. Mr. Lynch joined the Primitive Baptist church about thirty years ago, and his christian influence and good advice will live to build stepping stones for the younger generation. Three children, twenty grand-children, twentw-five [sic] great grand-children, one brother, two sisters and a loving wife are left behind to mourn his untimely dead [sic]. The funeral service was conducted in his home by Rev. Smith of Oxford. Many friends and relatives were there to follow their beloved friend to his last resting place. He was laid to rest in the Ragland Cemetery, where the young ladies and children of the community covered his grave with flowers. Yes, we'll miss him, But in heaven, How the angles [sic] gladly sing, To greet with in the Heavenly city Another aged saint.
