Meridian, MS Pg 10 A Claytee Brewer Services for Claytee Brewer of Toomsuba were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Re. Tommy Broadhead officiating. Burial was to be in the Toomsuba, Cemetery. Brewer died Friday in St. Joseph Hospital. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Mae Chamblee Brewer; three daughters, Mrs. Christine B. Clifton, Callaba, Wash., Mrs. Dorothy Fay Coleman, Toomsuba, Mrs. Emily Jean Smith, Meridain; and 23 grandchildren. Additional Comments: There is no mention of his only son, James Edward Brewer, Sr who died 6-2-72, from injuries incurred because of a motorcycle accident.. Claytee who had been beaten by New Orleans, LA police, suffered some brain damage and epilepsy from the incident, became dispondent and heart broken over the loss of his favorite child and only son.. he gave up hope of living and passed away..
