Monticello Republican (Monticello, (Miss.)) 1820-18??: June 28, 1823
Departed this life on Sunday last, Mrs. Nancy Neyland consort of Mr. Wm. Neyland of
this county. In the death of this amiable woman, a fond husband and nine children
are left to experience the bitter pang produced by the remembrance of her many
excellent qualities both as a wife and mother. It seldom falls to our lot to record
a more distressing event; but amidst those melancholy reflections, her family and
extensive acquaintances have the pleasing hope that she died in the Lord, and rest
from the turmoils and vicissitudes of time.
