He had been a sufferer for some time. Everything was done that loving hands could do to stay the hands of death but God in His infinite wisdom saw best. He leaves a wife, four daughters and two sons, one sister and a host of relatives to mourn his loss. But we would say to the grief stricken relatives mourn not as your loss is his eternal gain. He has only gone on before and is now basking in the sunlight of God’s eternal love. He expressed a readiness to die; told his loved ones that he wanted to see Jesus. “Blessed are they that die in the Lord.” His remains were carried to the Petty cemetery for interment where a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends paid their last sad tribute of respect, Bro. Collins conducting the funeral services. May God’s richest blessing rest upon the entire family.
