M. Loyd. Deceased was born in Alabama November 3rd, 1850 and removed to Mississippi with his parents when small. He was a member of the Lutheran church in good standing and was married to Miss Josie Walton April 25, 1876 twelve children were born, three are dead and nine are living. Of this number only two, Mr. Alex Loyd and Mrs. Maggie Hall, got to his bedside to witness the end. Deceased was a good citizen, always found on the right side of all public questions, a kind husband and indulgent father, given to hospitality. No one was turned away from his door empty handed where it was in his power to relieve their wants. I would say to the bereaved family weep not but try to emulate him in all your walks of life and God will bless you and in the end immortal life awaits you beyond the grave. A. C. McVay.
