Mr. McGuire had been to Memphis to visit his son, Rawden, who is under treatment in the Baptist Hospital. Coming by Byhalia he took Mr. Coggin in the car to accompany him to Pheba where he had a dredge boat. Returning that evening he lost his life in the accident. Albert McGuire was forty-five years of age and was born and raised near Auburn this county, being the son of Mr. Jack and Mrs. Mary McGuire. About twenty years ago he was married to Miss Nona Loller of Kirkville who died and left one son, Rawden. He was an Elk, a member of the Baptist church and a Mason, being a member of the Houston lodge. He was a young man of splendid character and had many friends who will regret to know of his untimely and tragic death. The funeral services were held from the Baptist church in Baldwyn, conducted by Rev. G. S. Jarmon. The remains were buried at Kirkville by members of the Masonic Fraternity, the local lodge her being represented by Messrs. Dee Reese, R. L. Senter and Titus Moore.
